Actor

Going to grad school as an adult with a career already under my belt, afforded me the thrill of playing a number of classic roles:

Richard III’s evil mother in THE QUEENS and the man-hungry title role in THE INSATIATE COUNTESS.

THE QUEENS

by Norman Chaurette
Directed by Michael Wagoner
Blackfriars Playhouse

THE INSATIATE COUNTESS

by John Marsten
Directed by Kelly Elliott
Blackfriars Playhouse
Staunton, VA

FUENTE OVEJUNA

by Lope de Vega
Directed by Beth Burns
Blackfriars Playhouse
Staunton, VA

In Beth Burns’ production of Lope de Vega’s masterpiece FUENTE OVEJUNA, I had the opportunity to play the vile Commander. Lisa Wolpe led our class in a cross-gender workshop, changing my entire notion of masculinity and femininity.

THE BYRON PROJECT

Directed by Matt Davies
Queen Elizabeth R.
Blackfriars Playhouse, Staunton, VA

Professor Matt Davies gave me my dream role in George Chapman’s THE BYRON PROJECT as Elizabeth R. Years ago, I fell in love with Glenda Jackson’s extraordinary portrayal of the Queen and vowed to play her one day.

Television Work

In my commercial career, I was fortunate to work on some of the highest profile campaigns in the business. Bob Giraldi directed the award-winning COORS LIGHT BEER Silver Bullet Bar series. Kellogg’s CRACKLIN OAT BRAN was parodied on SNL during the Iran Contra Affair.

On GENERAL HOSPITAL, Leslie Charleson's iconic Monica Quartermain, was my champion both as a character and as a fellow actor. Twelve year old Amber Tamblyn got her start playing my daughter. She and I formed a magical bond. She held my hand as my character, Paige Bowen, lost her fight with cancer.
